Supplements I take for my digestion and the benefits of each

Supplements I take for my digestion and the benefit of each.

I continue to do extensive research to improve my digestion. I really enjoy eating so I want my system to operate properly.

My digestion has improved a lot over the last 3 months,

It has been an interested ride but it has also been an excellent learning experience.

I hope some of these things can help you as well.

First and foremost things like wheat, dairy, sugar and anything processed will have a negative effect on digestion. So clean eating is the start to improving digestion.

Here is what I take for my digestion:

  • Ginger and warm water in the morning.
  • Digestive enzymes at every meal.
  • 1 probiotic 3 times per day.
  • I usually try to drink warm water, raw honey and cinnamon during the day.
  • I try to finish off the day with warm water and ginger after dinner

Now that you see what I take. Here are the benefits of each.

Benefits of Ginger and Warm Water

I take ginger and warm water in the morning.

-Ginger Promotes Proper Digestion by speeding up the emptying of the stomach

Benefits of Digestive Enzymes

I take digestive enzymes at every meal.

Enzymes help to break down the food that we eat. They help with heartburn, stomach pain, gas, nausea and bloating.

I did an acid test first to figure out how many I need to take with hydrochloric acid capsules called betaine hydrochloride.

Here is a link that explains how to perform the test. https://www.joshgitalis.com/why-you-have-acid-reflux-and-indigestion-and-what-to-do-about-it/

Benefits of Probiotic

I take 1 probiotic 3 times per day.

They are important for our immune system and have hundreds of benefits in our body. Probiotic supplements can help increase beneficial bacteria and help control both the healthy and harmful bacteria.

Benefit of Raw Honey and Cinnamon Combined

I usually try to drink warm water, raw honey and cinnamon during the day. I love the way it tastes but I realized the power of the two together. Both of which are superfoods. You don’t want to use liquid honey. It should say raw honey. If it doesn’t say raw honey it’s processed in some way and it won’t be as beneficial.

Honey has proved to be a predigested nectar. So it can soothe an aggravated system.

Cinnamon has antimicrobial characteristics that help with bacterial overload in their digestive systems.

Dr Axe right an entire article about the benefits of honey and cinnammon when you combine the two.
