I just finished my first week of the Primal Health Coach Certification. This weekend I also listened to the Primal Blue Print. I did a lot of research and asked a ton of question before choosing primal and I was very pleased with the knowledge I have learned thus far.
This is day 1 of me eating primal.
Usually for breakfast I would have oat meal and eggs but today I had eggs, zucchini, and onions. I wasn't totally prepared today to go primal but after finishing the primal blue print I was ready to start.
For lunch I had a salad filled with lettuces, tomatoes, cucumbers, carrots, tuna, almonds and pumpkin seeds. For not having any whole grain bread, brown rice, or oat meal I'm feeling pretty good.
What is primal Eating
The primal diet focuses on consuming foods as close to their natural state as possible.
This means focusing on good sources of protein, lots of vegetables, and mainly berries for fruit. You definitely want to have your healthy fats like nuts, avocados, and olive oil.
The main part that I am changing to my diet is eliminating grains. But you also want to avoid sugars, trans- and hydrogenated fats from your diet.
Why did I decide to go primal
I decided to go primal because I want to continue to be healthy as I age. I am 39 years old. The older we get the more important it is to take care of your health. I have a 1 year old son and I want to be able to run and play with him when I am 50, 60 & 70 without arthritis or any other health problems. I also want to make a bigger impact on more people lives.
