3 Alternates to eating Breakfast before a workout
I love learning new things to help my clients. Continuing education is the key to anything. I am a big advocate on eating breakfast before a workout. I feel it is the best way to getting the most out of your workout. I do understand that sometimes clients have a hard time making time for breakfast for many different reasons. Research has shown that there are other options if breakfast doesn't fit into your schedule before exercise. Here is a great take away from my Fat loss Coach Certification that I am currently working on with DTS Fitness Education.
A meal prior to working out is ideal, it's not "100% essential" during fat loss. If you are okay on an empty stomach, it's not a major issue. If you have a coffee, it will also help regulate blood sugar.
A) Train fasted, drink a coffee before
B) Take some nutrients out of your meals and eat something small and light pre-workout
C) Change the training time
Again, this is for when people already skip breakfast. If someone is looking at trying IMF and wants to eliminate breakfast while also training in the morning, there will be an adaptation period. They will have less energy and poor performance for a few weeks until they adapt to the new feeding schedule.
